Reaching Out To Gaston County . . .

to help our citizens through grants to organizations for religious, health, educational, cultural, and other needs.

 Welcome!
The Carrie E. and Lena V. Glenn Foundation was established in 1971 by two Gaston County, North Carolina sisters, one a public school teacher and the other a librarian.  Since 1972, we have sought to provide charitable contributions where “they are needed the most and will do the most good,” - the only guidance Carrie and Lena Glenn ever gave to the Foundation’s board members.

 Our Vision

Our vision is to be a leader in the philanthropic community by facilitating tangible, positive change in Gaston County at the root cause level and by closely adhering to our directive to put money “where it is needed most and will do the most good."

 Our Mission

Our mission is to promote and support the charitable spirit of the Glenn sisters by helping people in our community through grants for religious, health, educational, cultural, and other needs.

We support organizations in Gaston County, North Carolina or out of county organizations whose programs and services benefit Gaston County citizens.

We are governed by a seven-member board of directors of Gaston County leaders, assisted by part-time staff.
